Propane
 At North Star Coop we offer a wide variety of services in the propane department. We have locations in Cavalier, Park River, and Pembina, North Dakota. We deliver propane to a large area within northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. We have on hand highly trained professionals to deliver propane to you and also fill smaller tanks for your grills, stoves, campers, and on-road construction LP tanks.
North Star Coop offers a PROPANE SUMMER FILL PROGRAM where we deliver the product during the months of June and July with delayed billing until July 25th. In addition to the summer-fill program, we also have a PRE-PAY PROGRAM. In order to lock in your pre-pay price, you will need to contact our office and indicate how many gallons you would like to pre-pay. Our office will send you two copies of a pre-pay contract, one for your records and the other you will sign and send back to us. Due to the volatility of the propane market, we will only quote a price on a "day-to-day" basis. Refined Fuels
 At North Star Coop we offer you gas and fuel delivery by our bulk truck, transport load, or refined fuels distribution (RFD). Refined fuels distribution or RFD is an automated fuel monitoring system. A fuel sensor and monitoring system is installed in your fuel tank and when the fuel drops below a pre-determined level, the monitor sends a signal to our fuel distribution center. This signal indicates you need a refill and the truck comes and fills your tank. Much like electricity, it is always there and you only pay for what you use.

North Star Coop in Cavalier and Park River now have a BLENDER PUMP.
Choose your blended fuel for your Flex Fuel Vehicle. This blended fuel burns cleaner than conventional gasoline and it comes from a completely renewable, domestic source. It's good for the environment and good for the economy.
North Star Coop has all new gas and diesel pumps at the Cenex West Station in Cavalier, the station in Park River, and the Cenex Convenience Store located on the corner of main in Cavalier featuring credit card readers in each pump.

Getting
a big warranty check definitely helps take the sting out of an unexpected
equipment repair, according to Gary Foster, a grain and livestock producer in
Bruce, S.D. Thanks to the Cenex® Total Protection Plan™ warranty program, Gary
and his wife Dianne recently received an oversized check (along with an actual
check for deposit) from Bohn Peterson, driver/sales representative for Estelline
(S.D.) Community Oil, and Jim Hargens, CHS district
manager.
The
warranty paid for repairs to a Buhler Versatile tractor no longer covered by the
original equipment manufacturer’s warranty, without requiring any proof that the
repairs were caused by an oil or fuel defect.
“I was
tickled pink that the Cenex® warranty paid for the repairs,” says Foster. “All I
had to do was turn the bill into the co-op. We’ve got three tractors on the
Total Protection Plan warranty now.”
“It
doesn’t pay to use a cheap oil or fuel. I use Cenex lubricants in everything I
run, including my pickup trucks, because there’s a performance difference. We’ve
always used a good fuel, too – Cenex® Ruby Fieldmaster® soy-enhanced premium
diesel fuel has all the additives you need.”
Peterson
says the reimbursement process was easy, and he enjoyed delivering the big
check. “The Fosters are valued, lifelong customers and were one of the first to
enroll in our warranty program. They’ve been recommending Cenex products and the
warranty to their friends.”
Peterson expects
more producers to enroll in the Total Protection Plan in the near future. “The
newer engines demand premium fuels. These machines do a lot of work but the
systems are delicate and cannot perform with conventional diesel fuels,” he
says.
